Wearable Computing US Patent Awarded To Lyndsay Williams

On 9th January 2009, the US Patent and Trademark Office awarded Girton Labs' founder Lyndsay Williams (with two others) US Patent no. 7480492, "Method and apparatus for transmitting power and data using the human body".  You can read the patent's list of claims here.

Williams filed the patent whilst she was working for Microsoft's Cambridge (UK) research laboratories.
